With promotion from Transition Town Hastings, Refill Hastings are encouraging as many cafes, bars, restaurants and other businesses to sign up to become a Refill station so that members of the public can top up their refillable bottles on the go and so far are getting a great reception from businesses across the town from St Leonards to the Old Town.
Cutting down on plastic bottles
By encouraging as many businesses as possible to work with Refill Hastings, the town can help to ensure that it is as plastic free as possible. If tourists are able to refill their bottles at designated stations, there will be no need to buy bottled water in the area.
